Pantomime News from the Author Kevin Saunders - 16-11-2008

The upcoming pantomime, Snow White, is an unreliable adaptation by local resident Kevin Saunders, of the Brothers Grimm classic. it has a distinctly local flavour, and, whilst steeped in dubious history, manages to tip its hat towards some of the wonderful aspects of modern society. It is directed by Peter Dare and, at the time of writing, rehearsals are reaching a feverish crescendo to ensure that everything will be alright on the nights of 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th December at 7.30pm, with additional 2.30 pm matinees on both Saturdays. Fun for all the family is guaranteed, so please come along to the Village Hall. Tickets can be purchased at the Village Shop or from Barry Page

 ( 01959 534600 ).

Forthcoming KATS events to look out for include a "Murder Mystery" evening at the end of January and a performance from the John Hamilton Band, who will be returning by popular demand to entertain us with their Big Band Sound in March. More news of these events will appear at a later date.

KATS can be proud of its long history and is always on the prowl for new members to ensure that its history continues for at least another 60 years, Whether you fancy yourself as an on-stage diva or a backstage boffin, you are bound to have fun. KATS encourages thespians of all ages and standards and anyone interested should contact Karen Lagarde ( 01959 533154 ).

There is still a need, in the words of our founder, to preserve "the Knockholt talent".
